About me...
I am an experienced counsellor & psychotherapist with senior accreditation with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I work within their ethical framework for good practice. I run my own private practice in Brighton & Hove which also includes individual and group supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and other professionals working in mental health services.
I started working as a person-centred counsellor in 2002 for Brent Alcohol Counselling Service and later worked for Mankind UK, Brighton Women's Centre and Age UK. I managed Age UK's counselling service in Brighton for three years and Terrence Higgins Trust for five years. I then set up an in-house counselling service for American Express and managed this for three years.
I appreciate that coming to counselling for the first time can be scary and I believe you'll get the most out of your experience if you trust and feel comfortable with your counsellor. I will offer you warmth and respect, and concentrate on understanding what it's like to be you, and how best to support you achieving what you want.
